I am currently running a GTX 560 ti in my rig. Wanting to upgrade, not much, possibly to a 650ti. Just wanting to know if it would be okay to run in my machine. My specs are as follows:
Windows 7 64-bit
Intel Core i5-3550
NVIDIA GTX 560 ti
Motherboard: Gigabyte H77-D3H
Not sure of my PSU, think it is Corsair 750 watt.

Maybe this will help.

I normally don't upgrade or advise it, unless there will be a very big difference
in performance from one product to the other.

Would I in your case? Sure, if the new card is not a financial burden. But
otherwise, I'd rather save the bucks for a better processor instead.

What games you playing these days? I think the card you currently have
still does a good job for what I believe you're playing. No?

Thats a 3.7Ghz Quad core processor and should do you for sometime so if I were to upgrade then it would be the Graphics, RAM, HDD.
If you don't yet have 8GB ram then do that first.(assuming you have a 64bit OS). Then may be consider a 128Gb or 256Gb SSHDD. Check out GPUs here for a general idea on performance ranking: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html
Looking at the 650Ti compared to your Current 560Ti the 650Ti would be a DOWN GRADE! as mentioned in the link Sniper provided "If running with a high screen resolution is important to you, then the GeForce GTX 560 Ti is the winner, and very much so." The 660Ti however should be a substantial upgrade. may be also look at the GeForce GTX 670 Its listed here at $10 cheaper then the 660Ti but is more powerful again.
A 750W PSU should be fine for any of the upgrades

I agree with Snipers closing remark, as I'm still running a AMD 5850 which is lesser to your 560Ti and there are very few games I struggle with so you should be maxing everything anyway...Though I've not tried the latest BF4, Metro last light or Crysis 3 as of yet.
