Just installed MS 'Silverlight' so I can view Netflix movies/docs on my comp...

Has this worked out well for others here who have done the same thing?

Yeah. You can't watch Netflix without it. It runs fine. Once you install it you wont even know it is there.

Think of it like Flash or Java. Its just Microsoft's distribution code/language. As dapper said you won't know its there once installed.

Yeah, that's what I was hoping.

It will be good, like when I want to watch a documentary, and the Boss wants to watch some '80's game show...

Cant beat it for $9 a month. I am on season 5 of the x-Files right now. X-Files stunk after season 4 if you ask me.

So many folks rave about that series, and I've never seen an episode. The series started back when I was working, and I was frequently working the night it was on, so we never got into that show.

You should watch West Wing. You'd fit right into that show. It's on Amazon Prime Video, I don't know about NetFlix.

Give it a try.. I think your 1st month is free
If not it is only $9. Sooo much to watch. Even if their movie selection stinks they have tons of stuff. Every episode of Rawhide... or Bonanza.

Certainly NetFlix. I wouldn't recommend Amazon to an enemy. The interface to the movies and shows is a graphic study in obfuscation. It is designed with only one thing in mind: lure the user into buying a DVD or show you have to pay extra for, or to do it accidentally. I got Prime a year ago just because I knew I was going to be building a half dozen new computers for me, my brother, and some friends. You get free shipping with most things under prime. Now they've started chipping away on that perk. So when my sub runs out in Sept. That's it. I'll probably re-up with NetFlix.

To give you an idea the crap Amazon is up to...... I liked the Sci-Fy flick called Fringe. The producers are having one last short season this year. I saw the past Fringe episodes on Amazon Prime so I decided to watch the whole series over to get ready for the last 15 episodes coming up this fall. Worked pretty good till I came to last years season. THEY WERE CHARGING 1.99 PER episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I won't be able to see that season.

I have no problem with 3-4 VERY short comercials.
Its super easy to use.
if you leave half-way thru a show, it remembers where you left off.
ITS FREE.

If you don't mind commercials, try Crackle.com it's free, and has many movies.
You can watch it online, or on your devices, or through your Roku.

Yeah I liked Hulu and Crackle. But for $9 a month Netflix smokes them. Hulu is very nice though for being free. Nothing wrong with free. I found a lot of their movies too watered down with commercials though. Im talking every 5-7 minutes. They had Ghostbusters on there once. The movie is an hour and 45 minutes tops. On Hulu it took 2 hours and 15 minutes to watch. Crazy.
