Rebels At War Code of Conduct

Who We Are

  • A group of PC Gamers who enjoy playing in an environment free of bad language, cheating, and smacktards.
  • We enjoying playing in a cooperative environment using TeamSpeak to enhance the game and promote fellowship among the gamers.
  • We believe in teamwork, good attitudes, and good sportsmanship.
  • We believe that a clan should have a representative democracy where the Senior Administrators have voting rights in clan policy and serve the best interests of all clan members.

Guidelines

  • All members of RAW and Visitors to our servers will abide by the rules governing our server. Members will agree to abide by policies set for membership. Basic rules, ethics, and behavior apply to RAW members and recruits even when playing on other servers outside of the RAW Community.

Ethics

  • RAW is founded on fellowship, good sportsmanship, and having fun while striving for positive Christian values. This does not mean that everyone in RAW is a Christian, nor do they have to be. We have based many of our rules and expectations on Biblical principals. We expect members and visitors to act in a responsible and appropriate manner, which is considerate and family friendly. This is why we have the following rules:

1. RULES FOR ALL GAMES

  • Do not use the Lord's name in Vain! (WE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY).
  • All communication through RAW servers shall be family friendly. Text and voice chat must be clean, respectful and shall not involve promotion of any illegal activity. Failure to comply may result in removal and ban from our servers. RAW members failing to comply may result in forfeiture of membership.
  • No cursing, profanity, or swearing will be tolerated in text chat or TeamSpeak. We understand an occasional word may slip out. This should be the exception and not the rule.
  • TeamSpeak use is recommended.
  • Set your TeamSpeak up on push to talk.
  • Your name on TeamSpeak will be the same as the name you joined the clan with, preceded by RAW clan tags. With the exception that Admins will add an A at the end for Admin, and Senior Admins will add an SA at the end for Senior Admins.
  • No inappropriate/bad screen names.
  • No vulgar behavior; chats should be safe for children and adults alike.
  • No threatening language/comments. Gamers will be considerate and treat others with respect.
  • Gamers will not sabotage their teammates and will make every attempt to promote good teamwork.
  • Gamers will not argue against Admin instruction or clan policy in game text or teamspeak. When discussion is necessary it will be done on our website forums. The Administrators will make every attempt to listen to feedback and requests. The Administrators pay RAW Clans expenses, so they make the rules.
  • Gamers will show honor, dignity, and good sportsmanship.
  • Gamers will not engage in behavior such as insults or trash talk.
  • No bunny hopping. Bunny hopping is jumping more than once in succession to avoid fire.
  • No spawn camping known spawn points in deathmatch games. If you find you are at such a location, move off to a new location. Spawn killing in conquest, rush or other modes where the object of the match is to take control or destroy a point on the map is part of the game, with the exception of un-capturable main base locations. Killing players when spawning on their squad mates will happen as part of the game.
  • Non RAW members may be kicked to make room for members in this order: Rule breakers, spectators, low scores (meaning newest players), and high ping.
  • Team killing is not tolerated! You will be kicked. Continued team killing will result in a ban.
  • Gamers will not destroy friendly equipment as it results in having a disadvantage against the other team. This will result in a kick from the server.
  • Gamers will not kill teammates for vehicles. This could result in a ban from the server. Remember, we encourage teamwork.
  • Gamers will not "pure bail" from healthy fixed wing aircraft. Real pilots do not ditch their aircraft to take a base. Your aircraft must be smoking in order to bail. Pure bailing will result in a kick from the server.
  • Other clans may not use our server for recruiting! We are paying the bill for the server and we do not want it used as a recruiting ground. You will be banned for such behavior!
  • RAW members will accept that they represent RAW clan. We expect members to behave in a manner that brings honor and respect to the RAW name.
  • Players will not engage in behavior that disrupts the game. Disruptive game play is anything that results in a large number of complaints or evacuation of players from the server.
  • The RAW clan will not tolerate racial, rude, slighting, insulting, or flaming postings or email. This includes the RAW forums or any other public forums in or out of the game. If an individual is kicked or banned or has any other problem with the RAW clan or itsmembers we expect that individual to communicate civilly.

RAW Members

  • Teamspeak use is required
  • RAW members under 18 are not required to use teamspeak. Family member sponsors will determine the extent of their child's teamspeak use.
  • Teamspeak must be set to "push to talk"
  • Administrators must be on teamspeak while enforcing rules.

RAW Old Fart's Tactical Call of Duty World at War Specific Rules.

  • Normal run and gun tactics are not allowed here. Tactical Server = moving in a crouch or with gun sights up.
  • No walking or running unless evading fire or grenade, then only to nearest cover.
  • No Spectating, RAW Admins use spectator mode for rules compliance, all others will be kicked.
  • No Rifle Grenades.
  • No Bunny Hopping.
  • No Martyrdom.
  • No Second Chance.
  • No Last Stand.
  • Repeat offenders will be kicked or banned without warning.

2. Cheating.

  • RAW members and visitors will not engage in any type of cheating while on RAW servers, or any other servers, anywhere, anytime PERIOD. This includes hacks to the code, bots that allow for unfair advantages, or using exploits in the game code to gain an unfair advantage. Glitching is also considered cheating. Glitching is using unintended mistakes in the map to a persons advantage (wall/floor/hanger/pod glitches). Cheating of any type on a RAW server or any other server will result in a permanent ban from the RAW servers. Expressing knowledge of cheats and glitches does not impress us. RAW members and recruits will not publicly discuss, test, or teach any type of glitch or cheat.

3. Other Servers.

  • RAW members will honor and respect the rules of other servers. Although not mandatory, we ask that RAW members wear their tags when visiting other servers so that you can help the entire gaming community know that RAW is the best!

4. Dispute Resolution.

  • RAW members and guest alike will work out disputes in a civilized and respectable manner. Members should always try to work things out initially on a one-to-one basis first and the other party needs be made aware that there is a problem. When these disputes cannot be worked out, these matters will be brought to the Board of Directors for review and resolution. A decision will be rendered and the decision of the committee stands. Failure to abide by the committees decision will result in an immediate permanent ban from all RAW servers and activities.
  • If a banned Individual requests an appeal, it automatically goes into a 7-day review period before anything will be done. The banned individual will stay banned for the entire 7-day period pending the outcome of the investigation process! During this period of review the following will take place:
    1. Evidence will be gathered.
    2. The admin who banned them will be consulted and brought into the investigation and asked for all evidence.
    3. The person who was banned will be consulted for their side of the story.
    4. The committee will discuss these items over the week in the forums.
    5. A voice meeting will be set-up for the committee to discuss the issue on team speak on or around day 7.
    6. A decision will be rendered and the decision of the committee stands. Failure to abide by the committees decision or refusal to stay off the RAW Servers during the ban will result in an immediate permanent ban from all RAW servers and activities.

5. Rules, Enforcement, and Punishment.

  • It is the responsibility of guests and members a like to know the rules.
  • Frequent reviews of the code of conduct is recommended.
  • Rules will be enforced evenhandedly for all people. RAW Administrators are careful not to let emotions impair judgment.
  • No exceptions to the rules. No guest or RAW member is above the law!
  • Individuals who employ rude, slighting, insulting, or flaming postings or email against the RAW clan or its membership are subject to immediate ban and forfeit any appeal rights from the RAW game server and website.
  • Individuals who generate a large number of complaints or evacuation of players from the server are subject to a permanent ban. The process is as follows: warn at least twice, kick at least twice, temp ban at least twice, then permanently ban but only with the approval of a Senior Admin. Then post the permanent ban in the forum under "Banned Players" for Senior Admins to review.
  • Raw reserves the right to remove any player it deems necessary from RAW servers to keep peace and harmony in the clan.

6. Clan Membership.

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for RAW membership.
  • Applicants do not pay fees or dues nor is any cost involved in general membership.
  • Applicants must use RAW team speak while gaming on RAW servers for a minimum of 14 days before the recruitment process can begin.
  • Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Applicants must use RAW team speak while gaming for a minimum of 14 days before the recruitment process can begin.
  • Applicants must post an official request in the RAW forums.
  • Applicants will be researched using databases from PBbans.com, PunksBusted.com, and other anti-cheat sites.
  • Applicants must have a current RAW member sponsor them.
  • Applicants must agree with the code of conduct/rules.
  • When instructed applicants will put RAW-R in front of their name.
  • Recruits must be on teamspeak at all times when gaming.
  • Recruits will be on probation for 14 days.
  • RAW Recruits must be voted in by at least 4 votes and receive a minimum of 75% in favor to become a RAW Member.
  • Polls to invite members into the Admin and Senior Admin Councils require a 75% percent approval to be valid.
  • Upon completion of probation and successful vote recruits will remove the -R from their name.
  • With the exception of agreeing with the Code of Conduct and one FPS Clan, sponsored Family of RAW Members in good standing are exempt from all other enrollment requirements.
  • RAW Members will not affiliate private servers by name, in-game text, or by any other means to RAW Clan with out specific permission of the Senior Administrator Council.
  • One FPS Clan only, applicants and members must resign from any other first person shooter clans to which they belong, membership in clans of different genre (like WOW) exempt from this rule.

7. Termination of Membership.

  • Individuals who do not feel they can abide by the rules of this clan, please do not join.
  • If after becoming a member you do not feel that you can abide by the rules governing this clan then please terminate your membership.
  • The RAW members and Administrators may meet to deal with hostile or disobedient members to discuss their membership. A majority vote by the Senior Administrators is necessary to terminate membership. Members who are banned by a Senior Administrator for violating section 2 of the Code of Conduct also forfeit their membership. The Administrator who initiated the ban, the Board of Directors, or a majority vote of the Senior Administrator Council can overturn any ban.
  • If a member of the Discipline Committee is the Administrator who initiated the ban they will be excused from the Appeals process.
  • Sponsored family members who do not meet the minimum age requirement will terminate membership if their sponsor leaves the clan voluntarily or otherwise.
  • Members of RAW clan who leave voluntarily or who are stripped of their membership will immediately remove the RAW tags.
  • RAW members who quit the clan of their own choice relinquish all rights and site privileges enjoyed by a RAW member. They can enjoy the use of RAW servers and the website in the same manner as any other member of the public. However, bad behavior of any kind as determined by members of the senior admin group, including harassing RAW members or other players, carrying on disputes with RAW members or causing any kind of disruption in the RAW community risk being permanently banned from all RAW activities.

8. Clan Organization, Structure, Policies, and Duties.

Board of Directors Policies:

  1. The Board of Directors is not a leadership body.
  2. Terms will be six months in duration.
  3. Board members are ineligible for back-to-back terms.
  4. Up to date, dues paying Senior Administrators with at least 2 months service are eligible for the Board of Directors positions.
  5. Board of Director Positions will be chosen by popular vote.
  6. New terms will begin on the 1st of applicable months, essentially every two months an election will take place for session A, B, or C then repeats.
  7. Polls will be open the last 7 days of each term.

Board of Directors Duties:

  1. Ensure clan related financial responsibilities and day-to-day business matters are maintained.
  2. Report monthly financial accounting to the clan's dues paying members.
  3. Conduct appeals and any related clan discipline.
  4. Ensure recruitment standards, sponsorship, and policies are maintained.
  5. Ensure bi-monthly Board of Director elections are followed in accordance to RAW procedure.

Senior Administrators.

  • Have full administrative rights to manage all game servers, warn, kick, and ban problem players.
  • Administrators past and present warn, kick, and Ban disruptive Teamspeak users.
  • Are encouraged but not required to attend monthly admin meetings at 4:00pm central time on the first Sunday of each month.
  • May Propose policies for vote and bring issues to the board of directors.
  • Senior Administrators have voting rights in clan matters.
  • The Senior Administrators Council is capped at 35 members.
  • Senior Administrators contribute $15 per month in support for Clan expenses.
  • To be eligible Individuals must be a clan member for at least 4 months, have been a member of the admin group for 2 months, and be invited to join by the Senior Administrators Council. The waiting periods may be waived at the discretion of the Senior Admin Council.
  • Polls to change the Code of Conduct must be run for a minimum time of 7 days.
  • Senior Administrators have the authority to remove operator bans (server auto-bans) on a routine basis. Bans not listed in the banned players forum will be considered auto-bans.
  • Senior Admins will not administer any private server not officially affiliated with RAW Clan.
  • Once a RAW member has served on the admin council they may retain their admin status on team speak permanently if they resigned/left the council under honorable circumstances.
  • Delinquent Senior Administrators will be automatically removed from the council after 30 days of non-payment. Reinstatement will include payment of back dues and approval from the Senior Administrators Council.

Secret Squirrel Duties:

  • The Secret squirrel group will investigate new recruits and post in the recruits poll either:
  • The Secret Squirrel group finds no reason to halt the recruiting process in this instance.
  • The Secret Squirrel group has found reasons to halt the recruiting process in this instance. This process will not go forward until the admin group is finished debating this recruit.

Administrators.

  • Unlimited Members.
  • Warn, kick and Temp Ban problem players from RAW Gameservers.
  • Administrators past and present warn, kick, and Ban disruptive Teamspeak users.
  • Administrators contribute $5 per month in support for Clan expenses.
  • RAW Admins will not administer any private server not officially affiliated with RAW Clan.
  • To be eligible Individuals must be a clan member for at least 2 months, and be sponsored by a Senior Administrator.
  • In the event of a vacancy in the Senior Administrator Council, an administrator may be elevated to Senior Administrator status by a vote of the Senior Administrators.
  • Are encouraged but not required to attend monthly admin meetings at 4:00pm central time on the first Sunday of each month.
  • Once a RAW member has served on the admin council they may retain their admin status on team speak permanently if they resigned/left the council under honorable circumstances.
  • Delinquent Administrators will be automatically removed from the council after 30 days of non-payment. Reinstatement will include payment of back dues and approval from the Senior Administrators Council.

General Clan Members.

  • Free position.
  • No voting rights.
  • No administrative rights.
